FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A 35-year-old woman running a daycare out of her home in Fort Collins has been accused of leaving eight children unattended while she left to pick up her own child.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported Thursday Jennifer Fisher was charged with eight counts of misdemeanor child abuse.
Officials say the department of human services received an anonymous tip Fisher had been leaving children unattended.
Fisher has a license to care for five children, but officials say eight were in the house. Fisher did not immediately return a message left by The Associated Press.
Division of Childcare officials said Fisher’s childcare license had been closed on May 3.
