By virtue of his May 7 victory at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, Smith and Furniture Row Racing claimed a spot in Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The winner gets $1 million and no points are awarded, so wild times are anticipated.
“When there are no points and he knows nobody else is going to care that much if you’re going for it, it can get pretty wild,” Furniture Row owner Barney Visser said.
