South Park, especially Elevenmile, is reporting great trout fishing. Several baits are working, but worms and gulp eggs are getting top reviews. Waters reporting good lake trout action include Jefferson, Gross, and Chambers, albeit mostly smaller fish. Metro area waters such as Chatfield, Aurora, down south Pueblo, and up north Horsetooth, are seeing good smallmouth action. Tube jigs would be a good choice. Several have reported good-sized catfish from smaller metro waters. While night fishing with bait is the norm, don’t overlook jigs and streamers during daytime hours. They can be quite effective for Mr. Whiskers.
