Police looking for a 15-year-old boy accused of stabbing a woman near Evergreen

Police are looking for a 15-year-old boy they say stabbed a woman today in a home near Evergreen.

At 11:45 a.m., Evergreen Fire Rescue responded to a 9-1-1 call about a stabbing at a home at 7700 Red Fox Drive in the Evergreen Meadows, said Jacki Kelley, spokeswoman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman, whose name and condition have not been released, was airlifted to the hospital.

Several deputies and police dogs are doing a door-to-door search for the teenager, who may be armed and dangerous, Kelley said.

Officers are stopping vehicles on Colorado Highway 73 in case the teenager tried to hitch a ride.

Reverse emergency notifications were sent to about 580 homes in the area asking residents to be on the look out for the teenager.

The suspect is described as a being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, thin build and wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
