Greeley officials are putting the brakes on a plan to find a private vendor to operate ambulance services in favor of getting a bit more education and input from the county.
City officials learned this week from an outside consultant that there were still many unanswered questions when it came to potentially dropping Weld County Paramedic Service and going to a third-party vendor for ambulance services within the Greeley city limits.
It’s a plan council members have contemplated since January, but they haven’t received all the answers they felt they needed or had continued discussions with county officials.
