LONGMONT, Colo.—Colorado horses have a starring role in a summer blockbuster movie.
About 30 horses from the Sombrero Ranch based in Longmont are hitting the big screen in the movie “Cowboys & Aliens.”
Ranch founder Rex Walker tells the Boulder Daily Camera ( ) there are not many cowboy movies being made these days and if one is made, it would probably have aliens in it.
Although the horses were from Colorado, the movie was shot in Santa Fe, N.M.
