A 17-year-old student in Aurora was cited with careless driving this morning after he allegedly caused a chain-reaction fender-bender that damaged five vehicles.

The accidents happened shortly after 7 a.m., near Grandview High School at 20500 E. Arapahoe Road, said Lt. Chuck DeShazer, a spokesman for the Aurora Police Department.

The teenager was driving a Saturn car on a section of the road that bottlenecks from two to one lane when he rear-ended a Jeep. The Jeep then slammed into a Dodge Ram pick-up truck, which then rear-ended an Isuzu SUV, which then collided with the back of a Honda Civic.

No one was injured.

The driver of the Saturn and the driver of the Jeep were juveniles, all of the other drivers were adults, DeShazer said.
