BOULDER, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says a trooper suffered minor injuries when her squad car was struck from behind by an SUV in Boulder.

The patrol says the trooper was treated and released at a Boulder hospital after the incident early Friday.

The driver of the Chevrolet Suburban was also treated for minor injuries and released. The driver was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and other charges.

The patrol says the SUV was traveling at high speed when it hit the trooper’s car after she stopped at a stop sign.

No names have been released.
