Getting your player ready...

The way things usually work: Party hard, spend all your money and get stuck eating 25-cent Top Ramen for dinner until the next paycheck. Repeat until burnt out.

The way Triad Dragons wants it to work: Party hard, bring all your friends and get a wad of cash for doing so.

Sounds pretty sweet, right? It is. The new host program for the Dragons’ Global Fridays at The Church (1160 Lincoln St.) rewards hosts for rounding up a crew of Friday-night revelers and then delivering them to the party.

Each person who signs up for a host’s guest list, and then shows up, nets the host a point. Each point gets the host a $1 prize. So: If 50 friends sign up for your guest list, and 25 of them actually come, you win $25.

The Global Fridays host program is similar to events held at other clubs, like the now-discontinued “Socialites” nights at Beta. “Socialites” was different, though: Beta staffers hand-picked the hosts, and prizes were things like limo transportation and bottle service. Anyone can sign up to be a Global Fridays host at any time and win cold, hard cash.

High-scorers get bonus prizes, too. Each month’s top point-getter earns a $500 cash prize in addition to their already-earned money. Other prizes include tickets to Triad Dragons events like Trancegiving and Global Dance Festival.

There are caveats. If fewer than three people check in on your guest list, for example, you earn zero points. Guest lists close at 11:30 p.m., so anyone who shows up late won’t be counted. Policies can change, too, so it’s up to the hosts to stay apprised of any twists and turns.

It’s probably a little late to organize a party posse for tonight’s Global Friday, featuring Hycloud, Skye, Klutch Beat Bootique and more. The host program runs every week, though, and guest lists can be submitted as early as Wednesday.

Food and booze: Saturday brings the season’s last Justice League of Street Food party at the TAXI development (3457 Ringsby Court). It’s going to be a rager.

In addition to the usual lineup of food trucks — Steuben’s, Pinche Tacos, Biker Jim’s, Bambu Mobile Chinese and many more — the Justice League will be offering super drink specials, DJs and dancing. Shots will be $3, too: Counteract them with one of the $3 food specials. The party runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.

Groovy: Club B at the Hotel Boulderado (2115 13th St., Boulder) presents “Hippies and Hipsters,” a 1960s dance party celebrating the Boulder History Museum’s “1968 in America” exhibit.

Far-out ’60s costumes are optional, but encouraged — a contest will award prizes for the best male and female outfits. Cover band Hindsight will kick out ’60s jams from the likes of The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and more. The cover charge is $15 and includes hors d’oeuvres. Visit for more information.

Shows: Six Eleven Productions hosts a gnarly party at City Hall (1144 Broadway) on Saturday to premiere its latest snowboarding movie, “It’s Our Fault.” After watching the film, guests can get in the afterparty featuring hip-hop duo King Fantastic. The event is for powderhounds age 18 and older. Buy $10 tickets in advance at . Doors open at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Beta’s (1909 Blake St.) weekend begins with dubstep from High Rankin tonight, followed by DJ Sneak, “The House Gangster,” on Saturday. Thursday’s “NRG” party features house-music prodigy Hardwell. Advance tickets for each show are $10 at .
