ASPEN, Colo.—Pitkin County Manager Jon Peacock is recovering from injuries he suffered after crashing into a deer while riding his bike to work.
Peacock says the deer suddenly appeared in front of him on Wednesday and he couldn’t avoid it.
According to the Aspen Times ( ), the deer looked dazed as well and then ran off.
Peacock was treated and released from a local hospital after suffering a concussion, cuts and bruises.
