WB I-70 closed through Eisenhower Tunnel Wednesday night for ventilation testing

All westbound lanes of Interstate 70 will be closed through Eisenhower Tunnel Wednesday night, as crews complete maintenance work and ventilation testing.

Beginning at 10 p.m., all traffic will be re-routed over U.S. 6 Loveland Pass, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The testing is expected to last about four hours and the tunnel will likely re-open around 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

If adverse weather is predicted for Loveland Pass, the testing will be be moved to Thursday night during the same hours.
