DENVER—The Colorado Department of Transportation is upgrading more than 40 of nearly 100 snowplows with high-tech devices that allow crews to determine what kind of de-icer is needed.
The innovations are part of the department’s plans to deal with snowy roads that were outlined Wednesday.
According to the Denver Post ( ), the department has budgeted more than $64 million for winter maintenance this season.
