Police re-directed traffic in Denver after a rollover accident slowed commuters at East Alameda Avenue and South Monaco Parkway.

At 7:06 a.m., officers were called to the intersection on a report of a one-car rollover accident involving a black sedan, according to the Denver Police Department.

The sedan was traveling southbound on Monaco when it rolled, said Phil Champagne, spokesman for the Denver Fire Department.

A man in his 50s was sitting outside the car when emergency crews arrived, Champagne said. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

No other injuries were reported.
