A Tunisian court on Tuesday approved a request for the extradition of former Libyan Prime Minister Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi to Tripoli, where he faces charges of corruption, a lawyer for the Libyan government told the German news agency Desutsche Presse-Agentur.
The Court of Appeal in Tunis granted the extradition request after Libya gave written assurances that al-Mahmoudi would not be mistreated, the lawyer said.
