Jeanne Connolly fancies herself an “indie designer.” Her business motto: “Be Green. Buy Vintage. Buy Handmade.” Today from 5 to 10 p.m., Connolly, who sells her stylishly refurbished furnishings under the moniker Vintage Renewel, has teamed up with Hinterland Art Space, 3254 Walnut St., for her second Pop+Up Eco-Boutique there. In addition to being able to shop Connolly’s artful vintage chairs, lighting and lamp shades, patchwork pillows and more, visitors can enjoy music by Gabrielle Louise, Justin Roth and Rob Drabkin. Chic for a steal

“Shabby chic” home style is often characterized by a fusion of new stuff with antiques. The budget-minded fan of this look who either lacks the time to hunt for quality antiques or the motivation to upcycle tarnished secondhand furnishings might want to peruse celebrity designer Rachel Ashwell’s new “Treasures by Shabby Chic” collection for QVC (). The line includes accent furniture, lighting, mirrors and accessories priced from about $20 to $173. Setting the stage

Just in time for the holidays, when eyes turn to festive tables and party menues, from noon to 4 p m. today, Indochine hosts three esteemed interior designers who will offer tips and tricks for setting stunning tables. Joe McGuire of McGuire + Lake in Aspen and Boulder, Laurel Quint of Denver’s Q Design, and Barbee James of Design Details Studio in Boulder will answer questions, dole out advice and provide inspiration, all while surrounded by this store’s eclectic selection of Asian and Pacific Rim imports.
