DURANGO, Colo.—The sister of a Durango man who has been indicted in the shooting death of her husband is facing charges she lied to a grand jury.
Suzanne Garcia was arrested Thursday on eight counts of perjury.
La Plata County sheriff’s investigator Tonya Golbricht tells the Durango Herald ( ) it appears Garcia was trying to protect her brother.
Garcia is the sister of Joseph Dernoga, who faces charges in the shooting death of Ted Garcia in 2010.
