A man in his 50s was transported to a Denver hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries after he was shot at an apartment complex in Kersey on Thursday night.
The Greeley Tribune reported that the Weld County Sheriff’s Office said investigators are following up on a person of interest in the case, but have not made any arrests.
Seven people were inside an upper-level residence at the Kersey Apartments, on Sandy Knoll Circle at the south end of town, when gunfire came through a window from outside. The man, hit by multiple bullets, was the only person injured. Margie Martinez, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office, told the Tribune the victim was taken to Denver Health, adding that his name is not yet being released.
