A storybook world
Children ages 2 to 8 and their families are invited to “Read and Romp,” a benefit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today for Reach Out and Read Colorado. The event features storybook-themed activities including games, arts and crafts and more. Clifford the Big Red Dog also will welcome guests and give each child a passport as they travel through the pages of their favorite storybooks. Admission is $10 and includes lunch and a goody bag. Colorado Humanities honors Black History Month and the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with a program featuring performer and youth advocate Hasan Davis at 2 p.m. today. Move over Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche: the Monster Jam is in town and takes over the Pepsi Center this weekend.
