DENVER—Authorities say two children appear to have a little hypothermia after being rescued from a small pond in northeast Denver, but both appear to be all right.

Denver Fire Department Lt. Phil Champagne says witnesses reported the children appeared to have been playing on the ice Friday before falling into the pond.

He says a firefighter in a flotation suit was able to reach both children quickly. The children were taken to a hospital. He didn’t have other details.

Meanwhile in northwest Denver, firefighters were rescuing a dog that fell through the ice Friday at Berkeley Lake.
