A former substitute teacher who left a threatening note about a bomb inside a school has been sentenced.
Jennifer Gomes, 42, who earlier pleaded guilty to reporting of explosives, was sentenced Thursday to 180 days of in-home detention and four years of mental-health probation, according to a Denver district attorney’s office news release.
On Oct. 17, a note saying, “There is a bomb inside,” was found at the main entrance of Escuela de Guadalupe, 3401 Pecos St., the news release said.
Gomes, who worked at the school as a substitute teacher, was later arrested and charged.
