Those that knew him describe him as a “gentle giant,” fitting for a man who was nearly 7 feet tall and wore a size 18 shoe.
Nearly 2,000 friends, family, firefighters and police gathered Tuesday to say goodbye to Aurora firefighter Jason Murphy.
Murphy died Friday morning after a pickup truck collided with his bicycle on his way into the fire station.
Jason Murphy was also a husband, a father to two girls, a true athlete competing in triathlons and he had a heart that was born to be a firefighter.
