EVANS, Colo.—An Evans police officer and a suspect are hospitalized with gunshot wounds following a shooting during a medical call.

Evans Det. Michael Yates says officers and an ambulance were called to a home early Friday. The suspect was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head. His name wasn’t released.

A woman in the home also was taken to a hospital with injuries that didn’t appear to be related to the shooting.

Bratton’s injuries are not life-threatening.
