FRISCO, Colo.—A coalition trying to reduce traffic congestion on Interstate 70 says ski pass holders could be the key to fixing the problem during winter months.

A recent study suggests that season ski pass holders do a better job of monitoring traffic conditions and would make good targets for a program to spread out traffic.

According to the Summit Daily News ( ), a majority of season pass holders said they frequently arrive early and leave early to avoid traffic.

State officials have studied several ways to reduce congestion, including widening lanes, using pace cars, setting up special lanes and even building a monorail.
