The Mish, located on the still-closed Poudre Canyon Highway, remains closed and several June events have been canceled.
While Mishawaka hoped to reopen in time for this weekend’s concerts, it appears promoters are still
Saturday’s DeVotchka and Tea Leaf Green show has been canceled. Refunds will be offered to those with tickets.
Friday’s Dark Star Orchestra show will now be held at in Longmont. Ticket holders from the Mishawaka show are welcome to attend.
The aptly named “Dark Stars and Cold Brews” concert will also benefit the Northern Colorado Red Cross and the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds from ticket, beer, food and merchandise sales will benefit the High Park fire relief efforts.
Dark Star Orchestra guitarist Jeff Mattson said that while the group had hoped they could be the first show to resume playing at the Mish, he is excited they can still play a benefit.
“We were going to be in Colorado at that time, so rather than just have a night off, this way we can still do a show, and help out somewhat,” he said. “Mishawaka is a beautiful venue, but we had to alter our location due to the proximity of the fire.”
