MTV’s latest attempt at a scripted comedy, “The Inbetweeners,” is based on the British hit and adapted for the U.S. by Brad Copeland (“Arrested Development,” “My Name is Earl”). These guys are not jocks, not hunks, not academic stars, not nerds, but somewhere in between. Not kids, not quite adults, either.
“The Inbetweeners” feels like a good, male-skewing companion to the female-based “Awkward.” It premieres Monday locally at 8:30 p.m. on MTV.
