Fort Collins police on Wednesday said Christopher Wayne Jones , 28, of Fort Collins used a pipe to attack three witnesses during an at the One Stop Gas Station.
Jones faces charges of aggravated robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and theft, all felonies.
He is accused of assaulting two men and a woman between the ages of 29 and 47. Their injuries were not life-threatening, but they were treated at a local hospital, police said.
“Valuable tips from the community coupled with investigative work identified Jones as the suspect,” Fort Collins police said in a statement. “Police believe Jones acted independently and do not believe anyone else was involved in the robbery.”
Jones is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Court records show he pleaded guilty in July to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 18 months of probation and 24 hours of community service. He was cited by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 12, 2011.
