Thursday: The Vail Symposium’s 2013 Wells Fargo Unlimited Adventure series continues with Summit County resident Shannon Galpin presenting “From Afghanistan to Colorado: How Bikes Can Change the World.” Galpin is an avid mountain biker who is focused on breaking gender barriers. In 2009, she became the first woman to mountain bike in Afghanistan. Later that year she established Mountain2Mountain, a nonprofit that helps women in conflict zones.
