CORAL GABLES, Fla.—Miami coach Amy Deem will be working with the U.S. national track and field team again this summer.

Deem was selected Monday as a relay coach for this year’s world championships, scheduled for Aug. 10-18 in Moscow. Deem was one of the head coaches for USA Track and Field at last summer’s London Olympics, helping the Americans win a total of 29 medals.

Deem has worked extensively with the national team since the late 1990s, including serving as the head coach for the world-championships team in 2007.

Before Deem started working with the Hurricanes 22 years ago, Miami never had an athlete reach an NCAA qualifying standard. Under Deem, Miami has had 43 athletes win 12 individual national titles and win a combined 149 All-America honors.
