Film on the Rocks reveals the 2013 musician lineup: You Me & Apollo, the Knew and more

Who represents “Wet Hot American Summer” better than the sweaty rock of ? No one else could channel the high school drama of “Mean Girls” better than and . And maybe, just maybe if you ever have to jump shirtless from an exploding building will be playing in your head. has revealed the 2013 artist lineup that it has paired with this summer’s movies.

This year kicks off with “Back to the Future” on May 29 with music from Patrick Dethlefs and Raven and the Writing Desk. Our favorite this year, probably watching “Point Break” after hearing the always-solid . We will be very disappointed, though, if the band doesn’t start its set by saying, “Little hand says it’s time to rock and roll.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bands begin playing at 7 p.m. and movies start at dusk. Tickets: $12 General Admission (higher on day of show at Red Rocks Box Office). $35 and up for VIP Peak Experience packages. For more information or for print-at-home tickets go to www.denverfilm.org.
