BOULDER, Colo.—A driver who told police she was on her way to an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting when she struck a food truck in a church parking lot, a University of Colorado student eating lunch, and then the church has pleaded guilty to all charges against her.
The Daily Camera reports ( ) 73-year-old Brenda Geers pleaded guilty Monday in Boulder to vehicular assault, driving under the influence and DUI per se.
She wasn’t hurt in the collisions last October, but police say the student was taken to a hospital with a punctured lung and broken ribs.
Geers told police she had been heading to the church for an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
Geers is scheduled for sentencing on June 14.
