Wednesday. The Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is one of the few opera stars whose popularity transcends the genre — and the usual venues. What other classical singer could play the Pepsi Center these days? It helps that Bocelli has sold more than 80 million records since he won the world over with his hit single “Time to Say Goodbye” in 1997 and has scored a string of successes since — seven Top 10 albums in Billboard included — despite mixed reviews from critics. Bocelli has made the most of it. He’s sung with everyone from soprano Renée Fleming to R&B hitmaker Mary J. Blige. For his Denver gig, Bocelli teams up with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and guest vocalist Fantasia Barrino. 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Circle, $75-$350. 303.534-6773 or
