Five trash bins caught fire Thursday morning in a two-block span of east Denver.
There were no injuries and no homes caught fire, although fire did spread to the exterior of a detached garage on one property, said Mark Watson, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.
The fires started about 3:47 a.m. in the alleyways of the 1500 and 1600 blocks of Willow Street, Watson said.
“Firefighters got on scene and could see the next one down the line and the next one down the line,” Watson said.
Fire investigators are checking on the source of the suspicious fires.
