
Saturday-Sunday. Summer in the city starts with the People’s Fair. Presented annually by the Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods organization, the fair is a two-day salute to Denver’s diversity and a fundraiser for local nonprofit groups. Civic Center will be filled with arts-and-crafts vendors, nonprofit booths and tasty treats, plus five stages of live entertainment. A kids-and-family zone offers low-cost fun for youngsters like carnival rides, a rock-climbing wall and free craft projects. New this year is the Health and Wellness Area, featuring health screenings, information and fitness and cooking demonstrations. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. Civic Center, Broadway and Colfax Avenue. Admission is free. .
