A pair of men from Denver and Aurora were arrested Thursday in Eagle County on suspicion of attempting to sell high-grade cocaine out of a vacuum cleaner bag to undercover officers.
The Eagle County Drug Task Force set up the sale with Noe Flores Coronado, 32, of Aurora and Jose Pedraza Esparza, 38, of Denver in a restaurant parking lot, according to a news release from the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
The pair allegedly had 4 ounces of cocaine with a street value of about $4,000.
An Eagle County Sheriff’s Office K-9 dog found the cocaine hidden inside a vacuum cleaner bag, among other items, in the bed of the suspects’ truck, authorities said.
Both men are being held in the Eagle County Detention Facility on $50,000 bond each on charges of felony possession and felony distribution of cocaine.
In addition, Esparza has a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold for being illegally in the United States from Mexico, according to the news release.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office at 970-328-8500 or Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007.
