has been a lightening rod since she decided to part ways with Hannah Montana. No matter how much people dislike the ex-Disney compatriot, everybody’s respective Twitter/Facebook feeds have videos or the latest gossip from the spawn of Billy Ray. We sometimes forget that Cyrus started her career behind the camera and her “Saturday Night Live” performance displayed a good sport willing to poke fun at her own expense.

In one sketch, Cyrus’ catastrophic (?) 2013 VMA performance took on a “Ghost of Christmas Past” approach with Will Smith warning the young starlet of the perils of twerking with Robin Thicke. Incidentally, Cyrus’ gripping live take on “Wrecking Ball” proved to be a “twerk free” zone.
