LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Lakewood police will be on vampire patrol for Halloween.
“Operation Transylvania” will take place at a few locations Wednesday morning to make sure drivers are following laws requiring them to yield to pedestrians to keep people safe while trick or treating.
According to KUSA-TV ( ), Lakewood officers will don vampire costumes and spend time walking in crosswalks during the morning rush. Nearby there will be traffic-enforcement team members watching for those who do not yield for the crosswalk.
