, the popular restaurant in Denver’s Highland neighborhood, is hosting a four-course dinner Aug. 12 that showcases rose wines. The dinner will be held on the restaurant’s patio, which overlooks downtown Denver.
The menu looks terrific. Here’s the lineup:
Hors d’oeuvres, paired with Baja Tanga sparkling rose sec:
Palisade peaches with Jamon serrano and opal basil
Radish crostini with Broken Shovel goat cheese, tarragon, black lava salt on pumpernickkel
Open blue cobia crudo with compressed melon, jalapeno and olive oil
First course, paired with Kivelstadt Cellards rose:
Heirloom tomato salad with baby gem lettuce, Marcona almonds, olives, piquillo peppers, brandade croutons and mustard vin
OR
Sardines escabeche with baby gem lettuce, Marcona almonds, olives, piquillo peppers and grilled bread crumb salsa
Second Course, shared meats and cheeses paired with Marchesini Chiaretto Classico:
Broken Arrow antelope sausage, La Quercia Prosciutto Americano, fennel salad, Colorado cheeses, black quinoa crackers and house jams
Third course, paired with Monchiero “Vignola”:
Moroccan spiced Colorado lamb chops with fava beans, Palisade sweet corn, salt-roasted Hakurei turnips, chanterelle mushrooms and cherry barbecuse sauce (GF/V)
Dessert. paired with Del Rio Vineyards “Rose Jolee”:
Petit four & mignardise plate, grapefruit meengue tartelette, sweet bruschetta and crème brûlée with rose gelée
