A suspect, driving a vehicle that Denver police thought may have been involved in a street robbery earlier in the day, rammed a police cruiser and led officers on a chase Friday afternoon before being apprehended.

Police said officers had been on the lookout for a car that may have been part of a robbery committed in Wheat Ridge, adding a similar vehicle may have been part of another incident in the vicinity of Evans Avenue and Federal Boulevard.

When officers approached the car at West 44th Avenue and Wyandot Street, the suspect rammed his vehicle into the cruiser then took off. The car was eventually stopped at West 24th Avenue and Federal Boulevard.

No officers were injured. A police spokesman said it’s still unclear whether the car or driver were involved in the other incidents.
