In this week’s video tutorial with Denver Post gardening coach Betty Cahill, local landscaper Alan Rollinger shows us how to trim dead wood from shrubs. Cahill says this month gardeners will be noticing signs of life on their shrubs. However, some branches might have died after the freeze last Novembe. Now is the time to remove those dead parts. Rollinger gives some tips on how to decipher a dead branch from a living one and how to properly trim dead wood so that your shrubs will look beautiful.
