Aurora police are investigating and seeking a pair of people in connection with an assault that occurred Friday at Tennessee Avenue and Sable Boulevard.
A spokesman said two women were involved in an altercation, with one assaulting the other, briefly knocking her unconscious. When bystanders tried to intervene, a man who was with the assault suspect fired a single gunshot into the air. The pair then fled into a nearby apartment complex.
The victim was transported to the hospital; the spokesman said her injuries did not appear to be serious.
