PORTLAND AT COLORADO

When: 7 p.m. Saturday

TV: Altitude

Radio: 1600 AM, 1650 AM

Spotlight on Drew Moor:

An ironman throughout his career, the Rapids’ central defender and longtime captain will appear in his 300th MLS game if he plays as expected. His season ended last year with a torn ACL on Aug. 15, and some wondered if he would have to earn his way back into the lineup this year after the team signed Axel Sjoberg, but Moor has been a regular since returning to the lineup April 10. Shane O’Neill has been the odd man out at centerback. Moor became team captain in 2013 after the departure of Pablo Mastroeni.

NOTEBOOK

Rapids:

Colorado (2-3-7) suffered its first road loss of the season Wednesday at Seattle, falling 1-0 to end a five-game unbeaten streak and forcing only one save out of Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei. Colorado had been the league’s only unbeaten road team. Colorado is 1-2-3 at home this season, the lone victory coming last week against Vancouver. … Goalkeeper Clint Irwin and midfielder Lucas Pittinari have played every minute of every game this season. … Defender Michael Harrington started 54-of-58 games for Portland before being acquired by the Rapids in December.

Timbers:

Portland (4-5-4) also played Wednesday, defeating D.C. United 1-0. Coach Caleb Porter’s Timbers are 2-4-1 on the road this season. … The Timbers can be dangerous on the attack — they rank second in the league in shot accuracy (52 percent), third in shots, fourth in shots on goal and fifth in scoring chances created.

Footnote:

Colorado’s Shane O’Neill and Dillon Serna are away with the U.S. under-23 team, playing in a tournament in France.
