A Denver pedi-cab driver has been charged with sexual assault based on DNA evidence, according to prosecutors.
Jarrett Carter, 26, allegedly assaulted an “intoxicated woman” last summer after offering her a ride, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
The incident happened July 15, but a suspect was not immediately identified. Results of DNA testing lead to Carter earlier this month.
Carter, who is in custody on $100,000 bond, was formally charged Thursday, the DA’s office said in a media release.
His next court appearance is scheduled July 13.
