Tonight: With the long Labor Day weekend happening late this year, it’s easy to forget that this is the First Friday of the month and business as usual on Santa Fe Drive. September’s First Friday is one of the busier eves of 2015, and there’s plenty to take advantage this time out. It’s always best to just wander about and find surprises, although there are some standout shows. Niza Knoll Gallery (915 Santa Fe Drive) has “Digital Dimensions” exploring how 3-D printing is changing art, with work by Collin Parson and others. Painter Georgia Amar is showing her unique figure drawings at Habitat (828 Santa Fe Drive), and there’s a don’t-miss show of contemporary Chinese painting at the Center for Visual Art (965 Santa Fe Drive). Start at Fourth Avenue and walk north. .
