Two people are in custody after an armed bank robbery in Aurora that led to a police chase on Friday morning.
No one was injured during the robbery or the chase, police said.
The robbery happened just before 9:30 a.m. at TCF Bank at 15350 E. 6th Avenue, near 6th Avenue and Chambers Road, said Sgt. Chris Amsler with the Aurora Police Department.
Two armed men robbed the bank — taking an undisclosed amount of cash — and left in a black Hummer that was spotted by police a short time later near 6th Avenue and Laredo Street. Police followed the vehicle to Colfax Avenue and Airport Road where the Hummer took off.
A short pursuit followed into the Friendly Village of Aurora mobile home park. The driver of the suspect vehicle lost control and hit a shed, Amsler said.
One suspect was taken into custody on the spot, but the other man fled on foot and was captured two minutes later.
