Re: A reasonable measure to regulate fantasy sports in Colorado, March 30 editorial.

Colorado legislators propose creation of a state agency to regulate fantasy sports that few Coloradans participate in. I would bet (metaphorically, of course) that the proposed licensing fees will not cover the costs of salaries and benefits for employees and supervisors who will staff this new agency. That will be the taxpayers responsibility. And why? They are not protecting the health and safety of players. Last I looked, playing a fantasy game is not a dangerous activity. And if one of these sites engages in fraud or rips off players, we already have law enforcement personnel in place to investigate and if necessary prosecute the site. I agree with Gov. Chris Christie: If somebody wants to play, Who cares ?
