Douglas County School District.

Douglas County schools superintendent Elizabeth Fagen’s recent selection as the sole finalist to be superintendent in Humble, Texas, and the most recent Dougco school board election give the district an exciting opportunity to make the impactful changes our community so desperately craves.

The search for a new superintendent will allow us to fully refocus our organization’s priorities and energies on kids and their educational needs. To meet that goal, it is imperative that we identify an experienced, skilled, relational leader with a heart for kids and their education.

In order to restore much-needed trust, this leader must be eager to listen to the community, be able to empower and support our professional staff, and be willing to set aside any questionable district initiative until we have a thorough understanding of what our community wants from its public school district.
