Q: I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 a few months back and have been pleased for the most part. One question, though: Windows 7 had a large number of desktop backgrounds available, but it seems that Windows 10 does not. Either that, or I’m not looking in the right place. Can you assist and point me in the right direction? — Mark Lieberman

You want more, you say?
In the same spot to change your default background, you can also hit “Browse,” which opens your (default) photos folder so you can choose a personal photo or other art. Remember this folder.
But to see many more options provided by Microsoft, go to “Themes” (should be on the menu just to the left of the background). There, you’ll find “Get more themes online” and you will be whisked away to Microsoft’s online library of free stock-art images.
The shortcut? Go to Cortana (remember that circle next to the Windows button?) and type “themes.”
Or go directly to Microsoft’s themes/background at ǰ .
As the company instructs, hit the “Get it now” link to open and save the image to your photos folder (remember what I told you to remember?).
