Authorities in Eagle County have arrested a 41-year-old man they say threatened to kill Vail police officers and emergency dispatch staffers during several phone calls this month.

Frank James Duddleston made five calls to 911 and the Vail Public Safety Communications Center from June 7 to 10 and allegedly said he was “going to kill every one of you” and that he would “hunt the dispatchers down,” according to police.

In another incident, investigators said Duddleston made a purchase at a Vail coffee shop Thursday and called about 45 minutes later threatening to kill the store’s staff for allegedly poisoning his coffee.

Duddleston was arrested Friday at a campground near the Eagle County town of Red Cliff.

Duddleston is accused of several crimes, including stalking, menacing, obstructing governmental operations, harassment by phone and inciting destruction of life or property.
