Ghost driver. Northglenn police attempted to stop a suspicious car Dec. 1 in the area of Malley Drive and Washington Street, but the driver took off into a neighborhood. Officers later found the car slowly rolling across someone’s front lawn before it crashed into a parked car. There was no one in the driver’s seat.
Messing up the drunk tank. A bartender at Buck’s Hideway Tavern, 6171 Olive St., Commerce City, called police Nov. 27 about an inebriated man who had just fled the area. Police found and arrested the suspect, who threw up several times in his holding cell and tried to flood the cell by clogging the toilet.
Brazen shoplifters. On Nov. 9, two men strolled into Family Dollar, 8495 Pecos St., Federal Heights, and selected some T-shirts and a $50 drone from electronics and then walked out of the store without paying.Groups and gunshots. Commerce City police responded to a home in the 8600 block of Willow Street Nov. 27 after someone called about a large group of people firing guns in the area. No one at the residence would cooperate with an investigation, and officers couldn’t find any shell casings.
Sibling spat. A sister called police on her brother Dec. 2 because he threatened her with a knife during an argument at her home in the 11100 block of Fillmore Way, Northglenn. He was arrested.
Panhandling all day. Police arrested a man Nov. 11 who was asking people for money in the 10300 block of Federal Boulevard, Federal Heights. The man has been told four times to stop soliciting, but he said it was his right.
