Broomfield-based Noodles and Co. improves animal welfare conditions among suppliers

Broomfield-based Noodles and Co. will announce Friday plans for its suppliers to adopt more humane practices set by the Global Animal Partnership.

Suppliers will be expected by 2024 to improve conditions for their broiler chickens that includes reducing stocking density, improving environments and turning to more humane slaughter practices.

Noodle and Co.’s dairy producers already comply with the National Milk Producers Federation FARM program. The chain also uses gestation crate-free pork and cage-free eggs. The company said it will work with its pork suppliers to eliminate tail docking and teeth clipping.
